2025 Acoustic Music Retreat
January 3 @ 8:00 am - January 4 @ 5:00 pm CST
NHCDS is planning another Acoustic Music Retreat for early 2025! On January 3rd and 4th, we’ll be meeting at the First Presbyterian Church in Sugarland to jam, sing, dance, and most importantly have fun. We’re planning a square dance, talent showcase, door prizes, a silent auction, and of course tons of jamming. Pre-register to get updates as we book players and start scheduling sessions.
There is one hotel and one RV park close by that the club recommends:
• Springhill Suites, 13434 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, 77478
• Lakeview RV Resort, 11991 S Main Street, Houston, 77035
The price for the event this year will be $20 for individuals and $30 for families for both Friday and Saturday. This includes a lunch of homemade soups and make your own sandwiches for both days of the retreat. Individuals who wish to attend for only one day can do so for $10.
In addition to our normal raffle prizes, this year the club will have a silent auction for a number of extra club instruments. This includes a Sam Rizzetta Hammered Dulcimer, a Tom Fellenbaum Mountain Dulcimer, an Olympic Banjo and a McNally Strumstick. You can find pictures of them at the bottom of this page.
A preliminary schedule for the event is below. Do you have an idea for a jam session? E-mail us at info@nhcds.org and we can add you to the schedule in a breakout room or main room if available.
